Today was a very busy day and when I added up my calories I realized I was about 250 under, so I suppose that is not a good thing to do. I certainly won’t make a habit of it but I did realize I was not hungry and I was not thinking about eating at all.

Tomorrow is family dinner night so it will be my cheat meal for the week, hamburger mac-n-cheese with salad, woot woot! So far there hasn’t been much I have missed, I am not that big on sweets, my weakness is savory things like crackers, chips and cheese. I normally eat a lot more cheese and I am missing it a bit. However for the first time I think ever, I want to win this battle more than I want the food!

I have always been an emotional eater, it’s a big part of the reason I got here, but now the feeling of knowing I am really doing something good for myself is overriding the urge to eat. That little voice is almost gone, and to it I say Good Riddance!!

Well good night to all or good morning, whichever the case may be, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

So I can’t wait until next Monday weigh-in…drum roll… I met my first goal!! 10 lbs GONE!!! Today was a great day! I had tons of energy and I stuck to my meal plan really well and got all my exercise in!! I ordered yoga blocks so that I can start doing the next level of the Chair Warrior workouts next week.

This is almost like a dream, I can hardly believe that I am really doing this and feel so good about it. I have wanted to do this for so long and every time I would try I couldn’t get past the first few days, but this time is going to work!!

I really believe that a HUGE part of my success so far has been sharing all of this with you. I am doing this for me but I also don’t want to let all of you down and that has given me the strength to keep going through that first week. I know there may be bad days ahead, days that I want to quit or feel like it is not working but in this moment I feel like I am winning, I feel like this is going to be it, I am going to have my life back.

I have been saying THANK YOU but please know from the bottom of my heart, that all of you are helping to make a difference in my life and the meager words THANK YOU, will never be enough. This world is so big, but here on these cyber pages, you have become my friends, and every word of encouragement has been a blessing to me.

Okay enough gushing and touchy-feely stuff! LOL. I hope everyone has had a great day and I hope tomorrow is even better.

Gonna fly to the next goal, lose 10 more pounds!!!

It has been a very busy and long day. I felt good though and had lots of energy. I stuck to my eating plan, however I did skip my snack so I was about 120 under on my calories and I only got one workout done.

Sticking to the meal plan is getting easier and easier, I don’t feel as hungry and I don’t feel desperate to eat. I am really enjoying the yoga, it is fun and I feel like I will be sticking with it. I realize that it has only been a little over a week but with each day that goes by I feel like this is it, this is going to be the time I get this weight off and keep it off. This is going to be my time to fly!!

I hope everyone has a great day/night!

Today was a good day but I am really tired tonight. I stuck to my eating plan really well and got all of my exercise in. I am a bit sore from the yoga workouts, lol.

I’m feeling a bit impatient tonight, wishing I was further along in this process. I am reminding myself that I didn’t get here overnight and I won’t get out of this overnight. I do have to say that I think this is going to work. I have tried so many times to lose weight over the years and have been able to do it, but I always let myself gain it back. But this time it feels different, I feel more confident in what I am doing and the approach I am taking. Slow and steady is going to win the race this time, I just have to keep reminding myself of that.

Here is to a great day tomorrow!!

Weight Lost Week One – 7lbs

Woot Woot!! Seven pounds down!! I know that probably half of that is water weight and it won’t come off that fast anymore, but it is certainly a great start!!

Today was a great day, I stayed on track with my eating and I did two yoga workouts. It feels really good to have one week down and feeling so motivated to continue on.

The DDP Yoga app I am using has Motivational Mondays, where Dallas Page gives a short motivational update. What he talked about today was letting things go, and it really resonated with me. When I started this book, one of my intentions was to talk about how and why I ended up weighing so much, but now I realize that doesn’t matter. I know how and why I got here and I need to leave it in the past and move on. If I keep talking about it, I am dwelling on it and that has no value. What does have value is keeping my mind on my goals and moving forward, so that is what I am going to do!

I hope everyone has an amazing day/night!! Thank you all so much, I can not express how much your encouragement means to me!!

Slept in late so I ended up missing breakfast, but did good for the day, came in right at my target calorie count. I plan on starting my yoga tomorrow, I think I will do it twice a day, once in the morning and then in the evening as well. I will be doing DDP Yoga (Diamond Dallas Page), the Seated Warrior routines.

I will also start my meal prepping this week. We had decided to use up the perishable food we had in the house before we started our planned meals. So this week we will be concentrating on making sure, particularly our supper has a lean meat and either fresh or roasted vegetables. I will be trying to keep my carbs for breakfast only and lunch will be other sources of protein, protein shake, tuna, nuts and fruits, yogurts, and the such. Neither my son or I are big fans of fish, it is just something we do not grow up with here because fresh fish is almost impossible to get. However we have decided to start trying various kinds of fish and see if we can find some we like.

Tomorrow will also be my first weigh-in and it will be every Monday, going forward.

So that is about it for today. I hope everyone had a great weekend and I hope you have a safe and productive week.

Day Six Total Calories – 1590
Over by 290

Liquid Intake –
60 oz water
80 oz lite iced tea (unsweetened)

Today was a nice lazy Saturday, I tried to eat lite for breakfast and lunch so that I had a few extra calories for my “cheat day” family dinner. I did very good for dinner and only had one decent sized portion. I did go back for seconds of the enchiladas later in the evening but only allowed myself a small portion and I skipped the dessert altogether. So I ended up over my calorie count by 290 but I am okay with that. Tomorrow will be my last day for this first week and I feel so great getting through week one!!

On one hand the week seemed to fly by but on the other hand I know I still have so far to go that it seems overwhelming. But I am trying to push those thoughts out of my head and look at it in very small segments. So I think I will set my first goal, just one small goal that can be easily attained and that is to lose 10lbs. If I can lose 10lbs at a time maybe it won’t feel so overwhelming. If I can lose 10lbs, 5 times…well you can see where I am going with this, LOL.

Well it is really late here, so I am going to pack it in for the night! I hope everyone has a great day/night!!
