Vampire’s Kiss
By J. Lynne Moore
From the open window,
Moonlight softly drips;
Rolling across freely,
Sparkling on his tender lips.
It bounces off the rose,
That caresses his stone cut cheeks.
My hand rests upon his chest,
As it moves in valleys and peaks.
I allow him one more breath,
One more beat of his heart.
With a kiss I take his life,
So another can eternally start.
His eyes will open soon…
Forever he will be mine.
Between blood and shadows,
We will live a life divine.
