Love Songs

What happened to all the love songs;

Of days gone by and lost?

Do they still sing of virgin love,

And giving all, no matter the cost.

 

Do they not sing enduring ballads;

Of love at first sight?

Or teenage nervous crushes,

And holding hands in the moonlight.

 

Where are all the crooners,

With lyrics of love’s first kiss?

Are there any heart throbs,

Who still sing of tender bliss?

 

What happened to the love song;

Does it exist anymore?

Or do we have to remember those,

Love songs, left on history’s shore.
